First Look: Mario Badescu Samples

Wednesday, December 5, 2012 First Look: Mario Badescu Samples Aug. 30th, 2012 at 4:09 AM spring, bees, fall, beautiful, summer Thursday, August 30, 2012 First Look: Mario Badescu Skincare Samples I filled out the skin type survey on Mario Badescu.com and got an e-mail about 3 days later saying they would like to send me samples if I would provide my mailing address. I received 6 samples for acne-prone skin about a week later. 1. Enzyme Cleansing Gel for All Skin Types 2. Special Cleansing Lotion "C" for C, O Skin Types 3. Ceramide Eye Gel for All Skin Types 4. Aloe Moisturizer SPF 15 for C, O, S Skin Types 5. Glycolic Foaming Cleanser for All Skin Types 6. Drying Cream for All Skin Types C = Combination Skin O = Oily Skin S = Sensitive Skin They also sent a very informative booklet on how to use my samples and a catalogue listing all of the Mario Badescu skin care products. It explains each product really well--the samples I received and all the others they offer--and the prices. I have not had a chance to use my samples yet. They are all nice-sized samples that I will get multiple uses out of, expecially the Ceramide Eye Gel and the Drying Lotion. The Eye Gel is bright emerald green. It looks like the hair gel my grandmother used to use when she curled her hair. The Glycolic Foaming Cleanser is clear, the Special Cleansing Lotion C is bright yellow, and the Drying Lotion looks like St. Ives Apricot Scrub without the grit. It smells kinda like calamine lotion and burned plastic. The Enzyme Cleansing Gel is an opaque light mint green color with bubbles in it, and the Aloe Moisturizer SPF 15 is the same color, but creamier, with no bubbles. I do like Mario Badescu customer service. I got a follow-up e-mail not long ago and I did reply thanking them for the sample and saying I will let them know when I have tried their products. I kinda feel bad now because I'm not more on the ball with changing my skin care routine. I am currently using the St. Ives Apricot Scrub with 2% salicylic acid. Before anyone says something about the apricot grit, I already know it can tear the skin and make acne worse. I am not having that problem. I want to finish up the bottle of Apricot Scrub before I start using the Mario Badescu samples. It seems like it lasts forever. Fortunately, I think there's only enough left for about another week. I am looking forward the most to trying the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser. I am planning to buy from Mario Badescu, particularly the Drying Lotion. After reading the catalogue, I am going to look into buying the Ceramide Eye Gel, too. Their catalogue is fascinating. Tammy ThePeridotCricket
